Collected personal data
S.M.A.I.O SA collect your following personal data :
- data related to your identity : family name, first name
- data related to your contact details : e-mail address, telephone number
- data related to your professional situation : profession, hospital name, practice place, for French healthcare professionals, identity number (RPPS)
- connection data : the dates and hours when you connect to your account on our site
Purposes of processing
(For French healthcare professionals) Your personal data will be processed by S.M.A.I.O SA for the purpose of verification of your profession as a healthcare professional in order to respect the provisions of French law (Code de la santé publique) relating to the advertising of medical devices, and/or your account management (eg. In case of connection problem)
(For other healthcare professionals) Your personal data will be processed by S.M.A.I.O SA for the purpose of verification of your profession as a healthcare professional in order to provide further information of our medical device products, and/or your account management (eg. In case of connection problem)
Lawful basis
(For French healthcare professionals) This processing is necessary to comply with the French law (Code de la santé publique) and/or for the legitimate interests pursued by S.M.A.I.O SA in the field of human resources management.
(For other healthcare professionals) This processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by S.M.A.I.O SA in the field of medical device product information management.
The legitimate interests pursued by S.M.A.I.O SA are weighed against your interests, freedoms and fundamental rights which require protection of your personal data. The interests of S.M.A.I.O SA can not prevail over yours.

Security measures
S.M.A.I.O SA makes all the efforts in order to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data.
In addition to the physical security of the company's premises (alarm, pushbutton, digicode), S.M.A.I.O SA's information system is secured by logical measures (identification and authentication systems, firewall, antivirus and antispyware, restrictions of access, traceability of access, data backup system, etc.) ensuring a level of protection in accordance with applicable regulations.

Your personal data is accessible to the relevant departments of S.M.A.I.O SA.
Retention period
Your personal data will be kept for a period of 3 years after your last connection to your account on our site. Failing to login for a period of 2 and a half years, we will send you an email to remind you to connect your account within a certain time. In case of failure to do so, your account will be deleted. And then, your personal data will be kept for a period of 2 years. The purpose of the latter retention is solely to enable S.M.A.I.O SA to defend itself in the event of litigation.
Your privacy rights
You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, the right to limit processing, and the right to define guidelines regarding the fate of your personal data after your death.
You may, at any time, object to the processing of your data for reasons related to your particular situation.
